The pandemic hit immigrants very hard. Most have no safety net and many lost income. In April 2020, we began a food relief program to support about 200 families each week. For a period, a local food pantry provided a significant quantity of food. When their source reduced their supply to pre-Covid levels, we had to limit our support to helping 200 families per month.
