Guarantees the right to legal counsel for immigrants in deportation proceedings. - New York for All Act (A3506/S2235)
Proposes a prohibition on state and local resources being used to carry out federal deportation agenda. - BUILD Act (A.2689/S4538)
Provides grants to expand legal defense and workforce development for immigrants. - Empire State Licensing Act (A.675A/S.1086A)
Allows all residents to access occupational licenses regardless of immigration status. - Sanctuary State Referendum (S.3657)
Proposes a ballot referendum on designating New York a sanctuary state. - Dignity Not Detention Act (S.316)
Prohibits state/local governments from contracting with ICE detention facilities.
